This project wouldn’t be possible without the help of some key contributors and we would like to acknowledge and thank them:
Berry Bros. & Rudd is supporting us with an extra special case of wine named ‘Come Dine for Spencer Mixed Case’ includes 12 bottles of carefully selected wines for £99, plus free delivery. £10 from each case sold will be donated to our charity. [more info]
Astra Office Interiors
An extra special thank you to Steve Coull, the Sales Director at Astra Office Interiors and his team, as they play a major part in this project. Steve will be responsible for managing the refurbishment project, hopefully with the support of his suppliers, making donations or discounting products when possible. We guess his nickname will be ‘Anneka Rice’ but lets hope he stays away from the colorful jumpsuits!
On a serious note, this cause has touched Steve’s heart, as he too was diagnosed with Cancer five years ago and is hopefully in remission now. At the time, he was working on a major project; building his family home from the ground up, all the time not knowing if he was going to be around to lay the last brick! Steve was very lucky, but unfortunately it wasn’t such a good outcome for a young working colleague of his, at only 23 year of age, he didn’t win his battle with Cancer.
A big thank you to Pete Evans, who has put a lot of time and effort into building and managing this web site for us. Pete says that Cancer touches everyone and he personally lost his Father to Cancer a few years ago.
David Lloyd has offered his assistance and contribution to forthcoming events. Coming soon, we plan a celebrity golf event and a Charity Gala Dinner. Watch this space as David promises to rally up all his ‘celebrity friends’ to support us with personal appearances, as well as signed memorabilia for a charity auction. He has also agreed to hold a Come Dine for Spencer dinner party – Gill would personally like to thank her kind friend for his support and feels that his contribution is valuable to achieving the target of £250k.
Gill is a Director at Conjungo™. It’s an independent technology focussed website that helps organisations to Understand technology in plain English plus the Benefits the technology will bring to their business. It’s easy to Access valuable information, TestDrive software, Find locally accredited suppliers through Search and even help Finance their purchase.
Gill would personally like to thank her work colleagues for their contributions to the charity over the last year. Plus Gill is working with Conjungo and the IT Channel to raise funds through dress down days, prize donations for evening events and donations of equipments for use by the patients at the hospital in the form of X-Boxes, PlayStations and LCD TV’s.
